What an amazing Bonfire event last night. We have a lot of people to thank for a superb fireworks display and entertainment. John and his team from Crowndale Foods put on a spectacular fireworks display. The fair ground attractions and people were so kind and gave us a huge monkey to raffle as well as donating to the Charity. John Greaves gave his land, his time, his food, his staff and everything else any one needed. The staff at D&G Catering and Caterfest donated their wages back to the Charity and served the public all evening with delicious food. This was a fantastic event instigated by our Gez. As you will know Gez has supported the Charity for 3 years now and works tirelessly with his friends, family and supporters throughout the year to fundraise for Wishes 4 Kids. Last nights event raised a whopping £5125.00!!!! That takes his total for this year to £30,244.91. THE GRAND TOTAL for the 3 years now stands at £80,889.76. The fundraising events that Gez organises have included on line auctions, bonus balls, guess the song – too many things to mention. We are so very grateful to Gez for bringing together the communities of Saffron Lane, Eyres Monsell, Wigston, Aylestone and Knighton and creating a huge family of fundraisers all helping Wishes 4 Kids. This phenomenal amount of funds has helped to grant so many wishes for the poorly children of Leicestershire and beyond and on behalf of them all, THANK YOU. Congratulations to everyone that took part in the GungHo East Midlands 5K in aid of Wishes 4 Kids. They managed to raise a magnificent £727 for the Charity. Many thanks to Duncan Simpson, Nadine Hall, Howard Taylor, Jenna Morgan, Gary Morgan and Paul Roberts.
Wishes 4 Kids Rudolph Run will take place on Sunday the 26th of November at Bradgate Park. This is a fun event that helps to raise much needed funds for the Charity. To register please telephone the office on 0116 2543491.
An event took place at the North Kilworth Sports Club on the 9th of September with all funds being raised for Wishes 4 Kids. They raised a staggering £1410.00. Thank you so much. A very special thank you to the guys at S J Martin Autocare for the time and effort spent helping us with the car which was raffled this weekend. The total raised was an amazing £1187.96.
What an amazing weekend! A huge thank you to the organisers of the Bruntingthorpe On Your Marks Event. 20 of our wish families were invited over the two day event to take part in their track event.
