Our friends at Coalville Belvoir Rotary Club have

Our friends at Coalville Belvoir Rotary Club have organised a Community Fun Run taking place at Snibston Colliery Park on Sunday 9th June 2024. This is a 2km or 5km course, depending on how far you would like to run and Wishes 4 Kids have very kindly been chosen as one of the three benefitting charities for the event. Anybody is welcome to take part including children in pushchairs, wheelchair users and well-behaved dogs. Thank you to everyone who came to our Charity Curry Night last night at the Cuisine of India. We all had a brilliant night, completely filling the restaurant and it was lovely to see everybody enjoying themselves. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the incredible staff at the Cuisine of India for their amazing food and hospitality. We cannot thank you enough for everything you do for our Charity and the kindness and support you have shown to us for so many years. THANK YOU❤️

On Monday we were delighted to have the opportunity to meet the University of Leicester Women’s Football team who presented us with a cheque for £250. This incredible amount of money was raised through the sale of their Varsity t-shirts.
We cannot thank you and your coach, Mark Simmons, enough for your amazing donation and for choosing to support our Charity. We wish you the very best of luck in all of your matches including your next match against DMU on the 18th of March.

CHARITY CURRY NIGHT
Gary Lowe has booked a Charity Curry Night at the Cuisine of India in Wigston for Monday 8th April, starting at 7pm.
It is £20 per person (under 10's are half price) which gives you an all you can eat buffet including dessert!!! There will also be a raffle, full of excellent prizes and we will also play a few games.

Are you brave enough to abseil down the world's largest abseil tower at 418ft? We have a few places left for this extreme event taking place on Saturday 27th April at the National Lift Tower in Northampton.
Where: Northampton Abseiling Centre NN5 5FH
Age: Minimum age is 12 years old, no maximum age.
Weight: Maximum weight of 21.5 stone (310lbs)

This week we had the pleasure of granting a very special wish for an incredible young lady who wanted to watch The Lion King with her family. We collected her and her parents and travelled down to London via First Class train. On arrival we checked into the Strand Palace Hotel before enjoying a wonderful meal at the Hard Rock Cafe in Piccadilly Circus. We then headed to the Lyceum Theatre where the family received VIP treatment in the Ambassador Lounge before settling down to watch a spectacular performance of The Lion King. After the show the young lady thought we would be heading straight back to the hotel but we had one more surprise for her!! We had arranged for a meet and greet with some of the cast and waiting for her in the Ambassador Lounge were the characters Simba, Nala and Rafiki.
This was a truly magical moment and one that the young lady and her family will 'treasure forever'. The cast were amazing with her and even presented her with a very special goodie bag which included a signed poster and t-shirt.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at The Lion King for their hospitality and incredible kindness that was shown to us all. A special mention must go to Tasha Jarvis who was so supportive throughout, helping us with tickets and arranging the meet and greet. Thank you for helping to make a young lady so very happy.❤️

ROYAL PARKS HALF MARATHON - 13TH OCT 2024.
Ballot places for this event were released today so if you were unsuccessful then why not join our team of runners!!!
You will run through four of London's stunning Royal Parks:-Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, St James's Park and The Green Park as well as running past London's most famous landmarks, including The Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace - all on closed roads.
Plus, the event village in Hyde Park hosts a fantastic food and fitness festival, ensuring a brilliant day out for runners and supporters alike.

Last weekend we granted a very special little girl

Last weekend we granted a very special little girl's wish by sending her and her family to Disneyland Paris. The family stayed in the Newport Bay Hotel where they were greeted by volunteers who looked after them the entire time they were there. The little girl was treated like a VIP throughout her stay and did not have to queue to go on any of the rides or to meet any Disney characters. We also arranged for her to have a special one-on-one meeting with her favourite Disney character Moana, which she loved.
After 3 magical days the family flew back to Luton airport where we met them and drove them home. The journey home was full of laughter and incredible stories and it was wonderful to hear all of the memories that the family had made together.
We would not be able to grant amazing wishes like this without your incredible support so to everyone who chooses to support our Charity we would like to say THANK YOU

Wishes 4 Kids had the great pleasure of granting this little girl's wish, which was to meet a Disney Princess. We sent her and her family for a 3 day, magical stay to Disneyland Paris. On arrival at the Newport Bay Hotel she was presented with a very special lanyard to wear which meant that she received VIP treatment the entire time she was there. The whole family were taken to the front of every queue for all of the rides and also to meet any of the characters that the little girl wanted. They were able to enjoy all of the parades and the firework shows at night. All of the family's meals were paid for and on their second day they enjoyed a character breakfast in the Plaza Gardens restaurant.
After 3 amazing days the family were flown back to Luton airport where we met them and listened to all of their wonderful stories and memories made together.
We would like to thank all of our supporters who help us to make dreams like this come true.

We have booked an additional date for our Tandem P

We have booked an additional date for our Tandem Parachute event, as our initial date sold out very quickly. Our next event will take place on Saturday 10th August 2024 at Hinton Skydive Centre in Brackley.
We have 24 places, all booked to take part in the morning. The minimum age to jump is 16 years old and the maximum weight limit, set by the skydive centre, is 15 stone.

Ambassador and long-time supporter of our Charity, James Woofenden, is currently in Norway ready to take on his first international half marathon. This is 'The Polar Night' half marathon in Tromso, Norway which takes place in the middle of the day tomorrow. At this time of year the sun never rises above the horizon and in the absence of the sun there will be darkness and temperatures of -10.

BRIGHTON MARATHON - SUNDAY 7TH APRIL 2024
Wishes 4 Kids have only 3 places available for the Brighton Marathon, taking place on Sunday 7th April 2024. General entries are now sold out!!
This is a hugely popular event which starts in the heart of the City and finishes on Brighton's world-famous seafront.
If you have always wanted to run a marathon and have never been able to get into London then why not run the Brighton Marathon instead? Remember, it is exactly the same distance and takes place only 2 weeks before London so you will be training at the same time of year!! Also, we ask each participant to raise a minimum of only £500 for this event!!

Wishes 4 Kids would like to thank everyone who bought tickets and came along to the annual Cosby Boxing Day Duck Race. This event is always so popular and gets bigger every year and it was amazing to see the amount of people who came out to cheer on their ducks. We would like to say a huge thank you to event organiser Gary Reeves for all of his hard work and for choosing Wishes 4 Kids as one of the benefitting charities from the event. An incredible £1500 was donated from the sales of the ducks and a further £104.71 was collected in donations from the general public. We would also like to say a special thank you to Lee Prichard who picked the winning duck and donated most of his winnings back to our Charity.

HELP NEEDED. The Archers Festive Tractor Run is this Sunday and Wishes 4 Kids is one of four Charities that the event has kindly chosen to support. We have been asked to provide bucket collectors in Cosby (4:30pm) and Lutterworth (7:00pm) to collect any donations from the general public before the tractors drive past.
